Belton-Honea Path Bears (Honea Path, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Chapman Panthers (Inman, SC), 5-1 in a league challenge.

The Bears now own a 26-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Palmetto for a AAA Region 2 challenge on Friday, May 10. Belton-Honea Path will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 9-3 non-league win over Daniel (Central, SC). The Mustangs record now stands at 19-5.

With the loss, Chapman falls to 17-7 on the campaign.
