Chittenango Bears (Chittenango, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Marcellus Mustangs (Marcellus, NY), 17-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Bears now own a 10-1 record. They take the field next when they host Westhill for a Section 3 Liberty 1 challenge on Friday, May 10. Chittenango will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 8-1 non-league win over Cortland (Cortland, NY). The Warriors record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Marcellus falls to 11-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Skaneateles (Skaneateles, NY) to battle the Lakers in a Section 3 Liberty 2 challenge on Thursday, May 9. The Lakers enter the challenge with a record of 5-8. Skaneateles lost 12-3 in their recent league challenge against Marcellus (Marcellus, NY)
