The J.P. Stevens Hawks the visiting Edison Eagles softball squad by a count of 7-3 in Wednesday's league battle.
The Hawks (3-16) will now prepare for their battle against North Brunswick (North Brunswick, NJ). The North Brunswick Raiders go into the non-league battle with a 16-4 record.
The Eagles now sport a 6-10 record. They play next when they travel to Old Bridge for a non-league battle on Thursday, May 9. Edison will meet a Knights squad coming off a 7-1 non-league win over Colts Neck (Colts Neck, NJ). The Knights record now stands at 16-4.
