Glenbard West Hilltoppers (Glen Ellyn, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Naperville North Huskies (Naperville, IL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Hilltoppers now own a 13-10 record. They take the field next when they host Oak Park-River Forest for a West Suburban - Silver challenge on Friday, May 10. Glenbard West will battle a Huskies squad coming off a 8-5 league win over Lyons (LaGrange, IL). The Huskies record now stands at 21-8.

With the loss, Naperville North falls to 10-18 on the campaign. The Huskies host Waubonsie Valley (Aurora, IL) to battle the Warriors in a DuPage Valley challenge on Thursday, May 9. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 13-15. Waubonsie Valley lost 4-1 in their recent league challenge against Neuqua Valley (Naperville, IL)
