The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Grand Valley Mustangs (Orwell, OH) and the host Open Door Christian Patriots (Elyria, OH), saw Grand Valley's softball squad achieve victory over Open Door Christian by a count of 19-6.

The Mustangs now sport a 8-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mogadore for a non-league match on Monday, May 13.

With the loss, Open Door Christian falls to 8-4 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Lakewood (Lakewood, OH) to face the Rangers in a non-league match on Tuesday, May 14. The Rangers enter the match with a record of 7-9. Lakewood lost 4-3 in their recent non-league match against Magnificat (Rocky River, OH)
