Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Lincoln-Way West Warriors (New Lenox, IL) and the visiting Lemont Lemont HS (Lemont, IL), witnessed Lincoln-Way West's softball squad tip Lemont by a count of 6-1.

The Warriors now sport a 16-7 record. They play next when they travel to Andrew for a SouthWest Suburban match on Friday, May 10. Lincoln-Way West will meet a Thunderbolts squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL). The Thunderbolts record now stands at 21-5.

With the loss, Lemont moves to 17-8 on the season. The Lemont hs travel to Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL) to meet the Celtics in a non-league match on Friday, May 10. The Celtics go into the match with a record of 16-7. Providence Catholic lost 20-11 in their recent non-league match against Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL)
