Madison Bulldogs (Madison, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mountain Valley Falcons (Rumford, ME), 4-3 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they host Monmouth Academy for a Class C South challenge on Friday, May 10. Madison will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 12-2 league win over Madison (Madison, ME). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Mountain Valley falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Hall-Dale (Farmingdale, ME) to battle the Bulldogs in a Class C South challenge on Friday, May 10. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 5-1. Hall-Dale won 7-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Maine Central Institute (Pittsfield, ME)
