The Trumbull Eagles the host Staples Wreckers softball squad by a tally of 5-3 in Wednesday's league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 12-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ridgefield for a Fairfield County challenge on Saturday, May 11. Trumbull will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 6-0 league win over Greenwich (Greenwich, CT). The Tigers record now stands at 14-3.

With the loss, Staples falls to 6-6 on the campaign. The Wreckers host Danbury (Danbury, CT) to battle the Hatters in a Fairfield County challenge on Friday, May 10. The Hatters enter the challenge with a record of 3-13.
