In Thursday's league bout, the Eureka Hornets (Eureka, IL) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Fieldcrest Knights (Minonk, IL), by a tally of 12-0.
Next up, the Hornets encounter the Farmington Farmers (Farmington, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, May 9. Eureka will attempt to upgrade on its 26-2 season record. The Farmers enter the bout with a 20-6 record after their 12-2 non-league win over Princeville (Princeville, IL).
The Knights (12-10) will now prepare for their bout against Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL). The Hawks enter the non-league bout with a 5-20 record. In their last bout, Prairie Central was overwhelmed by Olympia (Stanford, IL), 13-0, in a non-league bout.
