The Grand Island Vikings baseball squad (Grand Island, NY), was edged 7-6 in Thursday's non-league contest with the visiting Sweet Home Panthers (Amherst, NY)

With the triumph, Sweet Home moves its record to 5-6 on the season. The Panthers travel to Maryvale (Cheektowaga, NY) to confront the Flyers in a non-league contest on Saturday, May 10. The Flyers come into the contest with a record of 12-2. Maryvale won 7-2 in their recent league contest against Pioneer (Yorkshire, NY)

The Vikings now possess a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Niagara Falls for a NFL contest on Friday, May 9. Grand Island will confront a Wolverines squad coming off a 17-0 league win over Lockport (Lockport, NY). The Wolverines record now stands at 8-1.
