In Thursday's non-league game, the host Greenwood Christian Academy Cougars baseball team scored a close 2-1 win over the Greenwood Woodmen.
The Cougars (9-8) will now prepare for their game against Tri-Central (Sharpsville, IN). The Trojans go into the non-league game with a 3-8 record. In their last game, Tri-Central was tipped by Eastern (Greentown, IN), 10-0, in a league game.
Next, the Woodmen play the Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs (Franklin, IN) in a Mid-State game, on Tuesday, May 13. Greenwood will attempt to improve on its 4-13 season record. The Grizzly Cubs go into the game with a 13-6 record after their 11-1 non-league loss to Bloomington South (Bloomington, IN).
