The Westran Hornets (Huntsville, MO) baseball trounced the visiting Marion County Mustangs (Philadelphia, MO), 9-1 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 15-5 record. They take the field next when they host Northeast for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 12. Westran will clash with a Bearcats team coming off a 10-6 non-league loss to Schuyler County (Lancaster, MO). The Bearcats record now stands at 9-7.

With the defeat, Marion County drops to 5-9 on the year. The Mustangs host Novinger (Novinger, MO) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 9. The Wildcats go into the challenge with a record of 5-3.
