The West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] Cougars baseball team scored 14 runs and held the host New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly Vipers to 4 in the Cougars non-league win on Thursday.

The Cougars now own a 18-4 record. They take the field next when they host North Greene for a non-league test on Tuesday, May 13.

With the defeat, New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly drops to 13-12 on the year. The Vipers host Beardstown (Beardstown, IL) to play the Tigers in a non-league test on Saturday, May 10. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 15-5. Beardstown won 8-6 in their recent non-league test against Brown County (Mt. Sterling, IL)
