The Mentor Cardinals baseball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Holy Name Green Wave to 0 in the Cardinals non-league win on Thursday.
The Cardinals now own a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kirtland for a non-league test on Tuesday, May 13. Mentor will play a Hornets team coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Lake Catholic (Mentor, OH). The Hornets record now stands at 7-2.
With the defeat, Holy Name drops to 1-11 on the year. The Green wave travel to Elyria Catholic (Elyria, OH) to play the Panthers in a non-league test on Friday, May 9. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 1-9. Elyria Catholic lost 8-0 in their recent non-league test against Brunswick (Brunswick, OH)
