Illinois High School Lacrosse - Downers Grove South nips Glenbard West

May 8, 2025: Downers Grove, IL 60516

The Downers Grove South Mustangs lacrosse squad scored 10 points and limited the visiting Glenbard West Hilltoppers to 9 in the Mustangs league triumph on Thursday.

The Mustangs now hold a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they host Neuqua Valley for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 12. Downers Grove South will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 12-6 league win over Naperville North (Naperville, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-5.

With the loss, Glenbard West falls to 9-6 on the year. The Hilltoppers travel to Oak Park-River Forest (Oak Park, IL) to clash with the Huskies in a West Suburban challenge on Saturday, May 10. The Huskies go into the challenge with a record of 5-8. Oak Park-River Forest won 19-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Nazareth Academy (LaGrange Park, IL)
