In Thursday's league outing, the visiting Hickory Hawks soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 victory over the Western Branch Bruins.

The Hawks (8-4) will now prepare for their outing against Gloucester (Gloucester, VA). The Dukes go into the non-league outing with a 13-1 record. In their last outing, Gloucester got by Kecoughtan (Hampton, VA), 3-2, in a league outing.

Next up, the Bruins play the Oscar Smith Tigers (Chesapeake, VA) in a Southeastern outing, on Tuesday, May 13. Western Branch will attempt to improve on its 6-6 season record. The Tigers go into the outing with a 8-3 record after their 9-0 league win over Indian River (Chesapeake, VA).
