Virginia High School Soccer - Nansemond River knocks off Lakeland

In Thursday's league outing, the visiting Nansemond River Warriors soccer squad scored a tight 5-0 victory over the Lakeland Cavaliers.
The Warriors (6-4) will now prepare for their outing against Maury (Norfolk, VA). The Commodores go into the non-league outing with a 7-6 record. In their last outing, Maury got by Churchland (Portsmouth, VA), 4-0, in a league outing.
Next up, the Cavaliers play the Grassfield Grizzlies (Chesapeake, VA) in a Southeastern outing, on Tuesday, May 13. Lakeland will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record. The Grizzlies go into the outing with a 8-2 record after their 5-2 league win over Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA).
