The Anderson Indians softball squad (Anderson, IN), was routed 6-2 in Thursday's non-league contest with the host New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN)

With the triumph, New Castle improves its record to 7-6 on the year. The Trojans host Franklin County (Brookville, IN) to face the Wildcats in a non-league contest on Saturday, May 10. The Wildcats enter the contest with a record of 9-7. Franklin County lost 3-2 in their recent league contest against Connersville (Connersville, IN)

The Indians now hold a 4-7 record. They play next when they travel to Hamilton Southeastern for a non-league contest on Monday, May 12. Anderson will face a Royals squad coming off a 1-0 league win over Brownsburg (Brownsburg, IN). The Royals record now stands at 13-6.
