The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Wilmington Wildcats (Wilmington, IL) and the host Bloom Blazing Trojan (Chicago Heights, IL), observed Wilmington's softball team prevail over Bloom by a tally of 14-0.

The Wildcats (19-5) will now prepare for their bout against Morris (Morris, IL). The Redskins go into the non-league bout with a 18-7 record. In their last bout, Morris knocked off Reed-Custer (Braidwood, IL), 7-2, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Blazing Trojan clash with the Kankakee Kays (Kankakee, IL) in a Southland Athletic bout, on Friday, May 9. Bloom will attempt to advance on its 12-9 season record. The Kays go into the bout with a 13-8 record after their 16-0 league win over Thornridge (Dolton, IL).
