Illinois High School Softball - Eureka bounces Hartsburg-Emden

In Thursday's non-league match, the host Eureka Hornets softball team scored a nice 17-2 victory over the Hartsburg-Emden Stags.
The Hornets (11-13) will now prepare for their match against Peoria (Peoria, IL). The Lions go into the non-league match with a 0-8 record. In their last match, Peoria was routed by Stark County (Toulon, IL), 20-3, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Stags battle the Athens Warriors (Athens, IL) in a Sangamo match, on Monday, May 12. Hartsburg-Emden will attempt to better on its 0-14 season record. The Warriors go into the match with a 9-13 record after their 8-1 non-league loss to Tremont (Tremont, IL).
