New York High School Softball - Marlboro Central bounces Saugerties

In Thursday's league match, the host Marlboro Central Dukes softball team scored a tight 8-4 win over the Saugerties Sawyers.

The Dukes (13-0) will now prepare for their match against Roosevelt (Hyde Park, NY). The Presidents come into the non-league match with a 1-9 record. In their last match, Roosevelt nipped Spackenkill (Poughkeepsie, NY), 7-6, in a league match.

In their next game, the Sawyers battle the Kingston Tigers (Kingston, NY) in a non-league match, on Saturday, May 10. Saugerties will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record. The Tigers come into the match with a 8-6 record after their 6-4 league win over Newburgh Free Academy (Newburgh, NY).
