Michigan High School Softball - Powers Catholic bested by Midland

May 8, 2025: Flint, MI 48505

The Midland Chemics triumphed over the host Powers Catholic Chargers softball squad by a count of 12-1 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Chemics play the Heritage Hawks (Saginaw, MI) in a Saginaw Valley challenge, on Monday, May 12. Midland will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Hawks enter the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 19-0 league win over Carman-Ainsworth (Flint, MI).

The Chargers (2-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Swartz Creek (Swartz Creek, MI). The Dragons enter the non-league challenge with a 5-9 record. In their last challenge, Swartz Creek was routed by Linden (Linden, MI), 8-1, in a league challenge.
