In Thursday's non-league match, the host Morris Redskins softball team scored a tight 7-2 win over the Reed-Custer Comets.

The Redskins (18-7) will now prepare for their match against Wilmington (Wilmington, IL). The Wildcats come into the non-league match with a 19-5 record. In their last match, Wilmington nipped Bloom (Chicago Heights, IL), 14-0, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Comets battle the Lisle Lions (Lisle, IL) in a Illinois Central Eight match, on Monday, May 12. Reed-Custer will attempt to better on its 9-15 season record. The Lions come into the match with a 4-14 record after their 8-2 league loss to Streator (Streator, IL).
