In Monday's non-league game, the host Maloney Spartans baseball team scored a tight 5-4 victory over the Manchester Red Hawks.
The Spartans (8-6) will now prepare for their game against Plainville (Plainville, CT). The Blue Devils go into the Central Connecticut - South game with a 3-11 record. In their last game, Plainville was edged by Simsbury (Simsbury, CT), 8-4, in a non-league game.
The Red Hawks (10-3) will now prepare for their game against South Windsor (South Windsor, CT). The Bobcats go into the Central Connecticut - North game with a 1-11 record. In their last game, South Windsor was edged by Lewis Mills (Burlington, CT), 5-1, in a non-league game.
