Norwell Knights (Ossian, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host DeKalb Barons (Waterloo, IN), 10-5 in a league challenge.

The Knights now own a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they host Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 10. Norwell will battle a Saints squad coming off a 9-1 non-league loss to Carroll (Fort Wayne, IN). The Saints record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, DeKalb moves to 5-8 on the season. The Barons travel to Bellmont (Decatur, IN) to meet the Braves in a match on Wednesday, May 11. The Braves go into the match with a record of 0-3. Bellmont lost 13-8 in their recent league match against Huntington North (Huntington, IN)
