St. Charles Bulldogs (St. Charles, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Breckenridge Huskies (Breckenridge, MI), 8-7 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Carson City-Crystal for a Mid-State challenge on Friday, May 13. St. Charles will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 5-4 league win over Ashley (Ashley, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 2-5.

With the loss, Breckenridge falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Huskies host Montabella (Blanchard, MI) to battle the Mustangs in a Mid-State challenge on Friday, May 13. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 6-8. Montabella lost 21-8 in their recent league challenge against Merrill (Merrill, MI)
