The Normal West Wildcats softball team scored 17 runs and limited the host Champaign Central Maroons to 2 in the Wildcats league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Normal West improves its record to 12-5 on the year. The Wildcats host Peoria (Peoria, IL) to clash with the Lions in a Big Twelve game on Tuesday, May 10. The Lions come into the game with a record of 0-7. Peoria lost 20-1 in their recent league game against Urbana (Urbana, IL)

In their next game, the Maroons clash with the Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, May 10. Champaign Central will attempt to improve on its 12-13 season record. The Pioneers come into the game with a 15-13 record after their 15-2 league win over Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL).
