The crowd at Monday's non-league match between the Western Boone Stars (Thorntown, IN) and the visiting Clinton Central Bulldogs (Michigantown, IN), saw Western Boone's softball squad nip Clinton Central by a count of 9-2.

The Stars now sport a 9-7 record. They take the field next when they host Frankfort for a Sagamore match on Tuesday, May 10. Western Boone will face a Hot Dogs squad coming off a 7-5 non-league win over Delphi Community (Delphi, IN). The Hot Dogs record now stands at 6-9.

With the loss, Clinton Central falls to 9-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Eastern (Greentown, IN) to face the Comets in a Hoosier Heartland match on Tuesday, May 10. The Comets enter the match with a record of 12-4. Eastern lost 9-3 in their recent non-league match against Indianapolis Bishop Chatard (Indianapolis, IN)
