In Monday's non-league contest, the Martinsville Artesians (Martinsville, IN) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Edgewood Mustangs (Ellettsville, IN), by a margin of 7-1.

With the triumph, Martinsville moves its record to 15-8 on the year. The Artesians host Decatur Central (Indianapolis, IN) to play the Hawks in a Mid-State contest on Tuesday, May 10. The Hawks come into the contest with a record of 12-7. Decatur Central won 11-0 in their recent non-league contest against Ben Davis (Indianapolis, IN)

In their next game, the Mustangs play the Owen Valley Patriots (Spencer, IN) in a Western Indiana contest, on Tuesday, May 10. Edgewood will attempt to move on its 10-10 season record. The Patriots come into the contest with a 12-2 record after their 15-0 non-league win over Eastern Greene (Bloomfield, IN).
