The Westford Academy Grey Ghosts routed the visiting Newton South Lions softball squad by a final score of 14-2 in Monday's league battle.
The Grey Ghosts (9-2) will now prepare for their battle against Lincoln-Sudbury (Sudbury, MA). The Warriors go into the Dual County Large battle with a 6-6 record. In their last battle, Lincoln-Sudbury topped Wayland (Wayland, MA), 16-0, in a non-league battle.
The Lions now possess a 5-6 record. They play next when they host Wayland for a non-league battle on Wednesday, May 11. Newton South will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 16-0 non-league loss to Lincoln-Sudbury (Sudbury, MA). The Warriors record now stands at 5-7.
