The Putnam Clippers baseball team scored 3 runs and limited the host Westbrook Knights to 1 in the Clippers non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Clippers (4-11) will now prepare for their match against Lyman Memorial (Lebanon, CT). The Bulldogs go into the Eastern Connecticut - Division IV match with a 8-6 record. In their last match, Lyman Memorial edged St. Bernard (Uncasville, CT), 3-1, in a league match.
The Knights (2-14) will now prepare for their match against Coginchaug Regional (Durham, CT). The Blue Devils go into the non-league match with a 7-9 record. In their last match, Coginchaug Regional by Old Saybrook (Old Saybrook, CT), 8-5, in a non-league match.
