The Mount St. Mary Academy Lions softball team scored 18 runs and limited the visiting Plainfield Cardinals to 0 in the Lions non-league triumph on Tuesday.
With the triumph, Mount St. Mary Academy moves its record to 7-2 on the year. The Lions travel to Montgomery (Skillman, NJ) to play the Cougars in a non-league game on Wednesday, May 10. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 0-8.
In their next game, the Cardinals play the Rahway Indians (Rahway, NJ) in a Union County - Sky game, on Thursday, May 18. Plainfield will attempt to move on its 0-5 season record.
