The Nelsonville-York Buckeyes (Nelsonville, OH) softball nipped the visiting North Adams Green Devils (Seaman, OH), 11-10 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Buckeyes (7-15) will now prepare for their bout against Portsmouth West (West Portsmouth, OH). The Senators go into the non-league bout with a 22-3 record. In their last bout, Portsmouth West held off Northwest (McDermott, OH), 6-2, in a league bout.
The Green Devils now possess a 3-10 record. They play next when they host Fayetteville-Perry for a Southern Hills Athletic bout on Wednesday, May 10. North Adams will confront a Rockets squad coming off a 12-1 league win over Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington (Ripley, OH). The Rockets record now stands at 9-5.
