Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Streator Bulldogs (Streator, IL), 6-4 in a league challenge.

The Comets now own a 5-14 record. They take the field next when they host Prairie Central for a non-league game on Friday, May 12. Reed-Custer will clash with a Hawks team coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Normal University (Normal, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 10-16.

In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Normal Community Ironmen (Normal, IL) in a non-league game, on Saturday, May 13. Streator will attempt to improve on its 8-15 season record. The Ironmen come into the game with a 14-13 record after their 10-8 non-league win over Olympia (Stanford, IL).
