Northwood Gladiators (Silver Spring, MD) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting High Point Eagles (Beltsville, MD), 8-7 in a non-league test.
With the win, Northwood upgrades its record to 10-8 on the season. The Gladiators travel to Laurel (Laurel, MD) to battle the Spartans in a non-league test on Saturday, May 11. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 17-6.
With the defeat, High Point falls to 9-10 on the season.
