Barren County Trojans (Glasgow, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Larue County Hawks (Hodgenville, KY), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clinton County for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 14. Barren County will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Taylor County (Campbellsville, KY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, Larue County falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Taylor County (Campbellsville, KY) to face the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 13. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Taylor County won 4-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Clinton County (Albany, KY)
