Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Cannon Falls Bombers (Cannon Falls, MN) and the host Goodhue Wildcats (Goodhue, MN), witnessed Cannon Falls's softball squad tip Goodhue by a count of 5-3.

The Bombers now sport a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to La Crescent for a non-league match on Saturday, May 11. Cannon Falls will meet a Lancers squad coming off a 6-5 non-league win over Rushford-Peterson (Rushford, MN). The Lancers record now stands at 7-7.

With the loss, Goodhue moves to 5-11 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Lourdes (Rochester, MN) to meet the Eagles in a Hiawatha Valley match on Friday, May 10. The Eagles go into the match with a record of 5-10. Lourdes won 4-1 in their recent league match against Lake City (Lake City, MN)
