Cedar Grove Panthers (Cedar Grove, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting DePaul Catholic Spartans (Wayne, NJ), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 14-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Montclair for a SEC - American challenge on Saturday, May 11.

With the loss, DePaul Catholic falls to 11-10 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Roxbury (Succasunna, NJ) to face the Gaels in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 10. The Gaels enter the challenge with a record of 6-11. Roxbury lost 4-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Union City (Union City, NJ)
