The Hibbing Bluejackets softball team scored 17 runs and limited the host Denfeld Hunters to 2 in the Bluejackets non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Hibbing improves its record to 12-2 on the year. The Bluejackets host Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin (Coleraine, MN) to clash with the Raiders in a non-league game on Friday, May 10. The Raiders come into the game with a record of 6-6. Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin lost 7-6 in their recent non-league game against Duluth East (Duluth, MN)

In their next game, the Hunters clash with the Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] Wolverines (Eveleth, MN) in a non-league game, on Thursday, May 9. Denfeld will attempt to improve on its 2-13 season record. The Wolverines come into the game with a 13-3 record after their 4-1 non-league win over Hermantown (Hermantown, MN).
