Lake Region Rangers (Orleans, VT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host U-32 Raiders (Montpelier, VT), 15-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Rangers now own a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Harwood for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 11. Lake Region will battle a Highlanders squad coming off a 25-1 non-league loss to Oxbow (Bradford, VT). The Highlanders record now stands at 0-6.

With the loss, U-32 falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Randolph (Randolph, VT) to battle the Ghosts in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 11. The Ghosts enter the challenge with a record of 3-3. Randolph lost 26-0 in their recent league challenge against Lyndon Institute (Lyndon Center, VT)
