The Chippewa Chipps baseball team scored 5 runs and held the host Harrison Central Huskies to 2 in the Chipps non-league win on Friday.

The Chipps now hold a 10-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Clairsville for a non-league test on Saturday, May 10. Chippewa will play a Red Devils team coming off a 8-5 non-league win over Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV). The Red Devils record now stands at 16-4.

With the defeat, Harrison Central drops to 14-6 on the year. The Huskies host Monroe Central (Woodsfield, OH) to play the Seminoles in a non-league test on Monday, May 12. The Seminoles go into the test with a record of 8-13. Monroe Central lost 6-2 in their recent non-league test against Barnesville (Barnesville, OH)
