In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Geneseo Maple Leafs baseball team scored a close 3-0 win over the Morton Potters.
The Maple Leafs (13-16) will now prepare for their game against Sterling (Sterling, IL). The Golden Warriors go into the Western Big Six game with a 11-17 record. In their last game, Sterling nudged Mendota (Mendota, IL), 7-2, in a non-league game.
Next, the Potters play the Eureka Hornets (Eureka, IL) in a non-league game, on Saturday, May 10. Morton will attempt to improve on its 19-9 season record. The Hornets go into the game with a 26-2 record after their 12-0 league win over Fieldcrest (Minonk, IL).
