The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) and the visiting Millbrook Wildcats (Raleigh, NC), saw Laney's baseball team beat Millbrook by a margin of 5-2.

The Buccaneers (21-4) will now prepare for their battle against Ashley (Wilmington, NC). The Screaming Eagle enter the non-league battle with a 22-4 record. In their last battle, Ashley held off Apex Friendship (Apex, NC), 4-3, in a non-league battle.
