The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Shakamak Lakers (Jasonville, IN) and the visiting Loogootee Lions (Loogootee, IN), saw Shakamak's baseball team beat Loogootee by a margin of 13-5.

The Lakers (6-6) will now prepare for their battle against Linton-Stockton (Linton, IN). The Miners enter the Southwestern Indiana battle with a 5-9 record. In their last battle, Linton-Stockton was overwhelmed by Barr-Reeve (Montgomery, IN), 6-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Lions face the North Central Thunderbirds (Farmersburg, IN) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, May 10. Loogootee will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record. The Thunderbirds enter the battle with a 2-10 record after their 20-10 non-league loss to South Vermillion (Clinton, IN).
