The Wakefield Wolverines (Raleigh, NC) baseball the visiting Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC), 6-2 in Friday's non-league challenge.

The Wolverines now own a 24-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jordan for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 13. Wakefield will clash with a Falcons team coming off a 10-1 non-league win over Middle Creek (Apex, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 17-7.

With the defeat, Topsail drops to 14-12 on the year.
