In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Desert Edge Scorpions volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Metro Tech Knights.

The Scorpions (16-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Campo Verde (Gilbert, AZ). The Coyotes come into the non-league challenge with a 20-7 record. In their last challenge, Campo Verde edged Canyon View (Waddell, AZ), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
