The Champaign Central Maroons baseball team scored 11 runs and held the host Bloomington Purple Raiders to 1 in the Maroons non-league win on Friday.
The Maroons now own a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host Heyworth for a non-league test on Saturday, May 17.
With the defeat, Bloomington drops to 4-9 on the year. The Purple raiders host Normal Community (Normal, IL) to clash with the Ironmen in a non-league test on Monday, May 12. The Ironmen go into the test with a record of 5-1. Normal Community won 12-9 in their recent non-league test against Pekin (Pekin, IL)
