The Jefferson Cavaliers triumphed over the visiting Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles softball squad by a count of 12-2 in Friday's league challenge.
Next, the Cavaliers play the Pierre T.F. Riggs Governors (Pierre, SD) in a Class AA challenge, on Friday, May 9. Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 10-3 season record. The Governors enter the challenge with a 4-10 record after their 12-7 league loss to Yankton (Yankton, SD).
The Golden Eagles (1-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Lincoln (Sioux Falls, SD). The Patriots enter the Class AA challenge with a 11-2 record. In their last challenge, Lincoln overcame West Central (Hartford, SD), 9-7, in a non-league challenge.
