The Edsel Ford Thunderbirds triumphed over the visiting Annapolis Cougars softball squad by a count of 17-7 in Friday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Thunderbirds meet the Roosevelt Bears (Wyandotte, MI) in a Downriver challenge, on Monday, May 12. Edsel Ford will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The Bears enter the challenge with a 15-7 record after their 16-1 league win over Lincoln Park (Lincoln Park, MI).
The Cougars (10-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Thurston (Redford, MI). The Eagles enter the Western Wayne challenge with a 5-5 record. In their last challenge, Thurston was routed by Garden City (Garden City, MI), 21-5, in a league challenge.
