The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Chardon Hilltoppers (Chardon, OH) and the host Steele Comets (Amherst, OH), observed Chardon's softball team prevail over Steele by a tally of 10-0.

The Hilltoppers (13-10) will now prepare for their bout against Midview (Grafton, OH). The Middies go into the non-league bout with a 7-9 record. In their last bout, Midview was routed by Avon (Avon, OH), 13-10, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Comets battle the Avon Lake Shoremen (Avon Lake, OH) in a Southwestern bout, on Monday, May 12. Steele will attempt to advance on its 15-7 season record. The Shoremen go into the bout with a 4-11 record after their 13-6 league loss to Midview (Grafton, OH).
